I was on the fence, as I really don't need another combat knife. I doubt that my daughter in the AF would carry such a big bowie as a flight crewman, but she just might want to, knowing her. She is going for Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconaissance Operator (ISR Operator) training next. She kicked some butt in the obstacle course and they love her war cry. She called me yesterday needing some info for her background investigation for the ISR job. Whether or not she carries it on active duty, I know she'll want one. She can add it to her Kukri and Bowie collection. At that price, I just could not resist getting a Regulator and sheath. It should make a nice graduation gift for her when she finally gets to her duty station. It's a heck of a "War Knife".

I'm glad you got in on it Vic! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> By the way, what does that say under your name in your avatar?!!!? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Oh, now I have been outed! I realize I was chosen out of desperation, but I'll do my best as a moderator. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Thanks, I'll try to keep the awesome power from going to my horned head. I guess I needed a "REGULATOR" knife after all. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Vic...I'm saluting your daughter as I'm retired USAF. Sounds like she's flight crew. Congrats on your promotion!

I was a Helicopter Crew Chief in the Marines and I'm sure the Regulator will not fit in the designated survival knife area on the flight vest, but things have probably changed. I'm sure she'll find something to do with it.

Congrats HD!

Thanks, rackemup. She is still in Basic now, but she has a good chance of landing that flight crew job. She may already have it by now. She was interviewed for it yesterday. I am a proud old man. Her Regulator War Knife will be waiting for her when she gets a leave out of Tech School. The AF basic training is a bit more intense than when I went through it in 1967. I wish I had stayed in to retirement. I made SSGT in under four.

Right you are, Spider-pig. She may have to make do with a brand new Scrapper 5, instead. She has a YKLE and a RC-4. But she will still get the Regulator for her collection.

Haha, I wish I would have had to "make do with a brand new Scrapper 5".

I did get that standard Ontario Pilot's Knife razor sharp, though.
