I ordered one of each and have a feeling that the Dereg might get the most use. We'll just have to see. And I gotta ask, why hasn't anyone said they are gonna use it for HOG HUNTING!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Might be the perfect hog knife, for the kill and the dressing. Especially after I sharpened the top swedge and made it the ultimate sticker. Great idea <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />- it is the perfect sticker for sure <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />.The knife is a BRUTE !!Edge retention is second to none <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Went with the Rats since i didnt have any. If you can afford it, you might want to get one of these too, but in my opinion, the current offerings (RMD and HRLM especially) are "best of breed" for Swamp Rat's modern (non-Res-C handled) knives. I'm less a fan of the Swamp Rat big knives than their small ones; their big stuff is OK, but their small to mid-sized knives are outstanding.

Ordered 2 Ratmandus. Didnt care for the Regulator style.
The HRLM looked a little fat in the middle.. HD, how big is the HRLM
compared to the RC- 3. I have both Bark River and Rowen if the Swampies are
that much better guess i need to order more.!
