Ordawg, send me your INFI blades and I will sharpen them up for you. I just hope they all make it back to you without getting lost! Hey Randy- look for a large freight truck- they are on the way .They are fairly sharp as I have an Apex Pro amoung many other stones etc- I just prefer the 101-SR77 as the INFI is not much better IMO. But- others love it- I prefer the performance factor as I use mine for many tasks. i spend over half the yaer in the bush. Heck-I practically live in the bush -Thanks

Res-C is virtually unsurpassed in its ability to absorb shock. But it's not aesthetically pleasing . . . at least not as far as I'm concerned. So the knives I tend to buy with Res-C handles are choppers and camp knives rather than utility knives and EDCs. I'd be willing to consider purchasing utility knives and EDCs with mudder grips, but only if they're well balanced. IMO, mudder-gripped knives in the well-balanced category include the SS4 and the MP (and undoubtedly the WD when it arrives), but not the S5. What do you mean res-C is not aesthetically pleasing?? Wash your mouth out with soap Bruce! Otherwise I agree with most of your post! Every time I look at my BATAC or Bravo 1 and compare those to my Busse Basic 7, S6 or SS4, I think res-C is simply the ultimate handle material BAR NONE. *AND* it looks cool too.

If it's Yard and it hasn't got res-C at one end it better be a skele' necker...

itd be sweet but i highly doubt it micarta is $$. price to performance ratio! lol look at how much more expensive the RMD is over the S5cg, granted its a full tang but still Actually I don't think micarta or G10 is that expensive at all. I am alawys a bit puzzed by the price differance . It is like why is INFI so expensive ? IMO it doesn't perform any better than 101-SR77-52100-ATS etc ? Whenever I have asked I always get the answer" just because it is "INFI" .Personaly-I don't buy much INFI bcause i just don't see the edge.I also can get a better edge on my 101 than I can my INFI- but maybe I am lousy at sharpening While what you have just said is heresy and when the 'hogs' find out they'll put a contract out on you, I totally agree! I think INFI is so expensive because it is a custom steel and made specially for Busse *alone*. I seem to have read somewhere it is sort of A8 with a nitrogen soak (that info may have come from Knife Forums). I know someone posted a mass spec' report on it somewhere... Paging Andy Wayne!!

It is the amount of handwork/shop time that drives the price difference. Some of those G10 handles coming out of the Busse Custom Shop are some of the most incredible things I have seen on a knife Dan

Are the handles formed/molded onto the tang, or are they put on?

Are the handles formed/molded onto the tang, or are they put on? Res-C is molded first onto a model and then the actual produced handles are pressed on/over the tang Dan

I highly rate the Res C grips and would if I could send in some Infi knives to be re-done on the tang to have a Res C grip fitted ...
