Hey every one, I am wondering what to use to strop various knives. Brands of strops or kinds and where to get them also the best all around one so I can get one to start with. Ive been getting really good at using my 1x42 belt sander and all i use to strop is my pant leg lol any suggestions would be greatly appriciated.

I do have one, it just doesnt seem to do much. But that might be operator error lol. I have use the leather belt with white compound on it also, and not really any difference that i can tell on the edge of the blade.

I've glued some leather to a large paint stirstick and use black compound on one side green on the other.
There is a three sided strop out there, I think knivesshipfree sell em
For belt sanding HornDog or someone else will chime in.

I use the Bark River strops and also the JRE ones. Stropping is extremely effective IMO
