There's got to be other Kayakers in the Yard. I just bought a SOT one for fishing. I did some kayaking in Hawaii and found it much more enjoyable than canoeing, so I ended up scoring my g/f a used on one craigslist as well.

Mine won't be here for a few weeks, which is just fine as I don't think we'll have nice enough weather for at least another month.

This is the exact model/color I got. Can't wait for the warm weather...this should take me places that will give me a ton of reasons to use my knives.

I use a kayak for fishing. This is my Native Ultimate 14.5 during my last trip out into the Laguna Madre.

Inside each knife is a new adventure waiting to be had...maybe some blood and probably some suture.

I love to Kayak. I have three. One is a tandem so I can drag the runt along.

I have a johnnybar so Ican fish off of it as well. I love my kayaks.

Johnny bar with a small pike.

I mostly do whitewater rafting- but I have used SOTs on many occasions. Very nice indeed

Nice setups guys. I will definitely be doing some fishing on it. I've got a ton of rivers, plus a number of big lakes with in 30 minutes of me that have everything from landlocked Steelhead, to Tiger Muskie to Kokanee.

You will love your OK. I currently have two 15' and two 11' Trident Anglers.

A trolling motor mounted to a milk crate can give you a paddle-free ride and hold much fishing gear.

I rarely use a trolling motor, but it is great fun for children.

A milk crate with some homemade PVC rod holders holds all my fishing gear.

You can cover some serious distance on a camping trip in a kayak. Don't forget compass & maps. GPS is a great idea also.

Kayaks? Look at my avatar that was my Wilderness Systems Ride.

Lol, I actually sold that particular boat but I still have a Malibu Mini-X and a Wilderness Systems Tarpon 120. It is a touch cooler here today but I have begun rigging up my gear and have some bait frozen in the fridge.

thanks, BillyJoe...and imaginefj, yeah, you were the one I had in mind when I posted. I remembered the profile pic, but forgot who exactly it belonged to.

Mine is due to be delivered on Tuesday.....I have a small lake 5 minutes from my house..I can already feel a cough coming on. I'm sure I'll have a fever by Wednesday...may have to take the day off

Oh, kayaking is addicting. Wear a vest, maybe buy a good so you'll want too. I have the 5 dollar orange variety and don't wear one like I should...I guess.

There is a great kayaking website texaskayakfisherman.com. It has tons of great info.

I ran my jugs for the first time last week. Caught one decent cat, we only had a few hooks in the water too so it wasn't bad. It has been awhile since I paddled very far and it was harder than I remembered.

I have a play boat for white water. I'm just starting so, I'm not that good.
