In an attempt to get my post count up while satisfying my "all things Yard curiosity" I thought I'd ask.....

How do you store your knives? Specifically, the ones you don't use all of the time.

I have all of mine (except for my "user" Regulator and one RMD) oiled, and sitting on the top shelf of my safe (outside of the cardboard sleeves).

I sold all the knives I don't use to buy gear I do.

My remaining knives are stored...

JF - that's awesome.

Jrod - I keep one Mil Reg in our SUV, and have a RMD in my GHB...but that will get replaced by a Urban Mutt I bought last night (the RMD will go to Safe Queen duty).

I store them in sheaths , in a safe. I keep them mineral oiled in kydex That is probably a bad way to store them, but I live in Arizona, where it is pretty dry and humidity free.

Wanna see my kydex!

i just use some cheap aluminum case that came with some other gear that i sold off last year. one knife ended up in there and before i knew most of them started ending up in there. card board sleeves, kydex, and leather are all just tossed in there somewhere. my queen knives so far just end up on my closet shelf. just 2 wieners and a sage/tan yard hook in there right now...

I live in the "Ohio River Valley" and humidity here is INCREDIBLY high. I'm also unfortunately one of those people that causes guns and knives to quickly rust by touching them.

Therefore, I keep LSA (military Weapons Oil, Medium) on all of my firearms and knives.

I have my " queens" in a large gun vault- then I have several in those large action packer tubs and they are all waxed with ren wax. My users are in my rigs and i have some also in my different packs depending on what I am doing. I also have about 7 in my top drawer so I can rotate my EDCs. I have way too many knives and just keep buying more . What can I say I like knives

My seldom used knives are stacked up like cord wood in the big safe and the users are rotated out of the bedroom safe. Would like to come up with some kind of compact roll to stow the fixed blades.

Users, DF and MilReg in the Jeep. The other knives I have are just kept in a wooden "toolbox' out in the garage. I go out every so often and fondle oops I Mean LOOK at them. Yeah that's it, I look at them. Oh and before to long I'll have a weiner to fondle, er I mean LOOK AT as well! Why does my mind keep drifting like this?

I keep mine oiled in a plastic trunk (footlocker) in my closet. No safe, my dog makes my entire house a safe.
