Currently looking to upgrade my camp axe. So, until The Yard grants my wishes and produces an axe lets see what you are using, I'll start.... $9.00 Coghlan's Camp Axe <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> re-ground and convexed, it works and you can't beat the price, but looking for something nicer... ![[Linked Image from i202.photobucket.com]](http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa291/echaraska/DSC02972.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i202.photobucket.com]](http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa291/echaraska/DSC02973.jpg)

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, if you don't take it out and use it, it's going to rust.

I just looked those up, those are some great looking axes, I like the "Hunter" model. Seem a little pricey, but then again I used to think $100 for a knife was expensive and after acquiring a small collection of Scrapyards and Swamprats $100 seems like a bargain.

I have a Gerber Pax. Same thing as the fiskers and does a pretty fair job for the price. Its really small. But they make several sizes. ![[Linked Image from cn1.kaboodle.com]](http://cn1.kaboodle.com/hi/img/2/0/0/3e/a/AAAAApCITugAAAAAAD6oFw.jpg)

wetterlings has been very good to me. i have two different sizes. i love the steel on the wetterlings, it stays sharp and is easy to get sharp in the field. the leather sheath is also good quality. this isnt my picture but its the exact hatchet that i have:http://www.flickr.com/photos/89012880@N00/453354628/

20 year warranty...and I heard they still took in axes from longer than that yep! they took in (and were rather excited) my 100 year old GB SMALL double bit (i found it in the woods, rusting.......a cleanup with wd40 and 0000 steel wool revealed the GB logo and makers marks). They put a WICKED convex on it. I asked them to not put a handle on it as i wanted to make a "nessmuk" style short handle on it.

Hey tony, Evo taught me this trick. IF you want the pictue to appear in the thread, (using flickr) go to your flicker picture and click on the single line entry box under the picture and right click "copy". Then come back here and in this box type in [img] then past your link and then type [/img] AND the pictue SHOULD appear in this box. Hope this helps some.

I have a hawk from SOG, a Cold Steel one that I want to mod, and a Cold Creek Forge that has a hammer head on one side. I am wanting a true ax and have about decided on the GB since they are the Bussekin of the axe world.
