I bought a full size axe from Home Depot, Yellow Fiberglass handle, solid piece of metal on top, but it needs to be reground (OOH! new project!) Other than my trips onto base, where they frown on big sharp things like axes, it basically stays in the back of the jeep. Even ran it over once on accident, lol.

I really like my Wetterlings axe, although I have several others as well. For hatchets I use Estwings, as I like the all-steel construction. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

+1! I have a couple of the Estwings in different sizes as well. Although I must confess to being partial to my Crash Axe, with its' custom sheath made by Jeff.
