i think you posted a 340 m&p somewhere and that turned everything upside don for me. i've been fighting that price tag since. i put sonme stuff up for sale with that one as my goal but i did a good bit of surfing tonight and there may be others to consider.

Lazi, while I like the 340PD, you should take look at the ruger sp101 in .357mag.

I've never owned or shot a ruger sp101. But, there are many people who think it's a more robust and better shooting gun. The price is right too.

Where are you located?

the hc is a sweet little blade but this one has never had a good edge on it. apparently i can sharpen scrap 154 better than swamp because my hcle has fought me on everything ive tried.

That's odd. The heat treatment can't be THAT different can it?

Lazi,

While I take reviews with the grain of salt, this review repeats many things that I have read about the sp101. "The SP101 is simply the strongest small frame .357 Magnum available." Being that you like Busse's and Scrapyards, I think that the SP101 follows that same paradigm of being, overbuilt for a reason.

Anyhow, you can't go wrong with either.

trying to figure that one out because it's seeming like i cant do anything to this hcle but my muk seem to do okay with my limited skills. i'm thinking of sending this hcle off to somebody more skilled than me.

i'm actually leaning towards the 360 m&p because i like the hammer. i saw a couple taurus that may fit if decide to go cheaper. theres a .22 mag wtith 8 rounds that looks nice and leaves me enough to snag a pmr30 using the same round.

something about the sp101 didn't click for me and i know it had to do a lot with the grips. i have looked at a the after market grips but its hard to know from the pics. so far the crimson trace laser grips have fit me the best. i would be just as happy without the laser and on a 360.

Maybe give that a try Lazi. See if they can work it. At a minimum you'll get an idea as to what the problem is or could be. I have a kitchen knife set (not fancy or expensive) that I can get all the blades hair splitting sharp EXCEPT the small pairing knife. It just will NOT take an edge.

man, clint has the attention span of a gold fish and i used to tell him that <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />. he got into his guitars and his girl and he's been distracted at work. my guess is that he'll be back around in 2 months when it gets stupid hot and the days get long. but he's good and kicking last time i talked to him.
