Wow, when you said bikes, I thought you meant the old fashioned ones with the foot pegs on the crankshaft. Hot [censored], those are screamers!
Just curious, bikejunky, how do you carry beer on those?

Horn Dog...

The beer comes later in the pits and when you are fixing messes like these...

Nice bikes bikejunky! I attribute my survival up to this point to not having had the money to buy the bike I wanted when I wanted!

Nice bikes and knives! Awesome!

Is the blue bike a track modified SV650 with an aftermarket race fairing?

Sorry I can't tell what the red bike is from the photos.. I like the Ducati red paint though!

I just wanted to post a Hello to the yard. I have been around a while but this is my first post. I am happy to say that I do have a couple scrapper 6, a couple DF, and now have a couple mutts to join them.

Thanks for all the great info on this site and keep the new toys coming...

Jeff

Kraz,

Yes, the blue one is an SV650 that I put GSXR1000 bodywork on. The red bike is a Honda CBR600 F4. They where never the fastest bike on the track but they handled good and brought home their fair share of podium finishes.

Thanks again for all the welcomes. It is good to be here.

Ah.. I knew the body work looked a lot better than Sharkskinz but I just couldn't place it LOL. The F4 is a neat bike with a robust aftermarket. Tough to go wrong with a Honda. I looked real hard at the F4i when I bought my Tuono. The F4i was my #2 choice

The F4I is a great bike also. I actually got into racing with my F4I.

Mine is the silver and red one. How do you like the Tuono? I love twins. I have had a Superhawk, 1997 TL1000S, and 3 SVs. I keep coming back to Twins. I love the sounds and the tourque. The new Ducati 1098 has my attention esp with such a good price. I actually had to turn down a ride on a Ducati 999 and a TL1000R in heavyweight twins because of a small career change and relocation. I would have been running it in endurance races. It still makes me sad. Have you ever got your Tuono on the track. I bet it would be a blast...

I have never taken the Tuono to the track bikejunky. I know I will get carried away and I really don't want to lose her. I have been casually shopping for a track bike like your SV650 to beat to death, but other obligations have pushed this to the back burner for now.

I too love the V-twin power response curve. The new 4's are getting better at smoothing out that inline 4 power surge which, as an old 2 stroke guy, I have to admit is addictive. With traction control the V twin advantage may disappear one day soon. We'll see.
