They are reading. Then I read. It's recommended that they read aloud to an adult for 15 mins and then the adult read to them for 15 mins every day. They are both really good readers.....and spellers consequently. The gf and I try to 'hide' things by spelling them out but they are to good now. They ALWAYS catch on.

Sometimes my boys are so tired from playing hard that they fall asleep really fast.

i have dyslexia and even in elementary school my daughters corrected my spelling

Both my kids a good story tellers as well. I think it's part of being a kid. Usually short stories but full of detail about whatever it is they are imagining. Both read chapter books, fiction. Ryan likes stories about animals...well dogs and Annabelle likes the "Wimpy Kid" series. Actually she's A HUGE Munsch fan.
