It is an expensive piece. You could get a couple of the older XDs for the same price.

It is an expensive piece. You could get a couple of the older XDs for the same price.  Yeah, it seems like a niche gun.  But, I actually think that I'd have use for one.

Got a note from Horn Dog. My DFLE and YKLE are being worked on today. They both went to Georgia to meet HDs belt sander!!!

If one had an ruger 10/22 in .22LR, ar-15 in .223, a 1911 in .45 ACP, winchester model 7  in 30-06, 12 gauge remington 870 and a 45-70, you could have all your bases covered.

Cool Tag. I think I'd like to do the same. Not sure if I should just try it myself or not (on a cheapy). I have a D2 blade that I convexed on sand paper. I need a strop now. Took a long time but it's a hair popper now. That was a $50 blade and only 4" so it was kinda easy for a first try.
