Night I need to hit the sack to since I got to get up in a short while. I hate meetings, especially early ones but most of all ones on Fridays!

I desperately wanted to like the Trijicon but it seems the Eotech is a safer bet.
The guys at the Police Range told me that they moved away from the Trijis as standard issue because the teams were momentarily losing the dot when someone turned on a bright light.

I find that the EoTech reticle is great of accuracy at range, with the one MOA dot, and the big circle helps to frame a target when used for rapid acquisition. I find that in high stress encounters my precise coordination goes out the window, so personally, I wouldn't want to bother with a switch in case I forget to turn it on. To me, the 6.5 MOA dot on the trijicon is just too big. It's like painting your target with a spotlight, lol. Aimpoint has the market for battery life cornered, if that may be an option too. I think the Micro T-1 has a battery life of over 8 years constant on at level 8 of 12. Overall though, if it were me making the decision, I'd go with the EoTech.

yeah, I've shot an M16A4 with an ACOG, and I noticed that I couldn't see the color of the chevron when I was on a brightly lit outdoor range. It didn't make a huge difference with the reticle of the ACOG being black, but I could see where it would if there was no back-up reticle like on the reflex. Inside a building though, it might be less of a concern.

np friend. I always research my stuff before I make a decision, and I'm glad to help someone else do the same.

Do you have a flashlight for the firearm in question for low-light altercations?
