I have an area of 2,500 square miles to cover. 1,900 miles of that is mine to supervise. Can't do it from a desk.

County mountie. But Its the highest populated county in the state. We have urban areas, border line ghettos, large ranches, huge amounts of national forest and everything in between.

Our county. If I remember correctly is 30 x 40 miles. One of the largest in Missouri, also in the middle of Meth central!

I usually drive an impala. Just got rid of my durango. Probably getting a tahoe but budget cuts may force a hold on that for a while.

The impalas do fairly well and get decent gas mileage which saves us a ton. Its not uncommon to put 250 miles on during a shift in some areas. Almost never less than 150.
