And used to back then, we could go hunting ANYWHERE. Of course everybody knew everyone else, or at least their parents or kids so it wasn't a problem. The only thing I had to go more than 2 miles to hunt was Whitetail. Otherwise we had rabbit, quail, doves, turkey, the normal country small game animals. Oh we had ducks and geese as well, but I have never hunted them. I have NEVER done any waterfowl hunting. Just not my style I guess.

Great to have the options. Can be a real pain to make heads or tails of some the rules up here. Dozens of zones with different rules

I've not hunted in several years but from what I have been told the regulations around here are pretty consistant. It might vary some by how many deer you can legally get in different areas, of the start and stop times may vary some but over all they are pretty consistant in this area of the state.

Have you ever shot a Grizzley or Brown Bear (same thing aren't they)?

I don't usually hunt any big game up here. Wife can't eat it (not by choice) and i don't want to waste it.

I spend time hunting with a camera instead. Occasionally going out for grouse for rabbit.

Good for you! I know there are some folks that just hunt for trophy and will just let the meat go to waste!

Wasting meat is a serious thing up here. I think it should be jail and not just a fine.

If you have use for the meat then great. Even if you just like the meat, great. Shooting it for a few pounds on the skull and nothing more is poor.

Haven't seen any grizzly bears here yet, lots of black bears though including a few cinnamon ones.
