Rebel Yell? Is it worth trying - or just pure headache material? Not bad in my opinion. I like it a lot better than Jack, but not as well as Woodford or Makers Mark--then again it is cheaper too. Kinda like cigars, it would be a good everyday one. For me at least. Jerry Busse is the one who mentioned it to me and Dan confirmed. Said the folks in the shop really liked it too. Go figure. May have to give it a try. As we have discussed, I like my single malts but I do have a bottle Makers in the cupboard which gets hit every now and again. Rebel Yell is something that is good to share when you got someone that is not used to single malt or more refined things. I dunno...Rebel Yell is like Jack Black used to be...before Urban Cowboy ruined the aging process.... Makers Mark is good.... but not worth the price difference.. Rebel Yell is called the bourbon drinkers secret because of the price / quality ratio... like Scrap Yard knives... Single Malts are usually referred to Scotch...not bourbon... I think you mean single barrel... single malt scotches are not necessarily better than blends... (see Johnny Walker Blue) just different... I have had many of the so called "greats"... it is a matter of taste.. I have had every blend of Johnny Walker... Black is my favorite... is it the best?... by review, no....by price, yes.... but the difference in price between it and the others is not worth the difference in taste... (IMHO) just like cigars... I live in Tampa... the cigar capital of the world... I have had Cubans, Dominicans, Hondurans, etc... if you knew what I smoke you would laugh...(if you are into cigars) but I know what I like... to each his own... Rebel Yell is a quality bourbon at a great price.... YMMV.... Oh... by the by..I can drink ALL of you under the table in case you are wondering... you are bush league... amateurs.... bwhahahahahahaha, just kidding... maybe? Doc
Yep. I typed one meaning single brl. I am generally asleep by now. I got to get back into the hang of late night typing LOL. As to cigars, I like a lot of different makers but for a out and about in the woods or fishing I like either Backwoods or Fuente scraps--I think that is what they are, the left overs or short fillers. I grab one or two on the way out of town.

Teaching does have some really nice benefits. I take less pay throughout the year but get it paid over summer break. i wanted to ask about that, but i wasn't sure if it was a tasteful question. now i really have to recommend you take it easy. Thanks. A lot of the time people say it must be nice to work 9 months and get paid for 12. In reality we, depending on the state, work 10 months and get paid for 10--just spread it out. Now for those who are in the arts like band, athletics etc. there is really never any down time as there is summer programs, etc. I enjoy it because I get to stay up with the kids and what is going on--sometimes I don't like what I hear, but at least we are in the loop.

Yes sir, just think of it as something you can get money back out of unlike an AR rifle at the moment--maybe someday but not right now. A lot better investment than a game system and some game--IMHO. I guess you could beat a pig to death with a game system, but a Regulator gives you a better chance <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

True. I bought a PS3 a couple of years ago and now I rarely use it. I use it more for the blue-ray player than playing games. But at this point, I know I would get more use and have more fun with Bussekin knives!

most of my friends being teachers, i know about the pay and options. if you've made it work the rest of the year, then clearly you'll be fine.
there's also a huge conflict between the teachers' union and the governor here.

Mag, same here as I get that feeling from all over the nation. I don't know how other states do it but in OK if a teacher is laid off due to budget cuts, etc. you can not draw unemployment like other workers. Another problem we face here is if we were to go on strike then there would be no job to go back to---your fired, not wuite like GM's union LOL.
