Joe, you have that right. I was extremely happy to snag a choil-less BOSS jack at blade. Seems great to me!

Priced around $150 would be nice too. Yeah, right! I just like the no choil, edge-right-to-the-end style of blade. Makes it easier to put a lot of power and control in the cut for feather sticks and such. I usually hate choils

Ok, if my wife wakes up and sees I'm still awake I'm dead.
Gotta go, thanks again for "pimping" my title Chris!

Pop quiz!
Post your "grail" knife.
easy.. Battle Mistress Prototype with the recurve blade. Holy Grail would be the Uncle Screwtape! Very nice! satin or coated? satin would be fine but not much so much better to me than coated or stripped to pay for it.

My Grail Knife? It would actually have to be a couple I guess.
First, I have one or maybe even both!

The MPLE (again thank you mystery benefactor!) for small chores or every day use I think it is almost perfect (ok, nothing's perfect, that's why I said almost). The second is a large chopper like my DF (thanks again Sumo). To quote one of the greatest boxers of all time (yeah he had a big mouth, but he was a good boxer) it Floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee! It hits really hard but is easy to handle. Those two combined with my S5, well I think I have a blade for every use I will ever need. But a large felling ax might come in handy sometime!

yes I would think that a DF would be a suitable holy grail knife

Everyone should have a DF!
That Res-c makes for a perfect handling on a chopper!
