When that .17 HMR hits them, they pretty much disappear.

Don't have any crows around our place, on the outskirts of town. We've got rabbits, squirrels, many different birds skunks sometimes (never around when I'm "Hunting") and we have seen red fox and deer a couple times. We've also seen possum and coons and an armadillo.

Oh and we have had turtles lay eggs in our back yard a few times.

My place borders the state gamelands, we've always got deer and other animals in the yard. There is a flock of 20+ wild turkeys that live in the neighborhood that come through the front yard every morning about an hour after sunup. We've got everything here you have except for the armadillos.

The thought has ran through my mind LOL. But, I feed them some corn when it snows and I enjoy watching them, so I don't guess I'd shoot them. Plenty of people hunt close by though, so it wouldn't do for them to be too tame.

I put a salt block up in the far corner of my place for the deer, I can watch them from a distance and not bother them. I do enjoy watching the wildlife.

haha, Yeah, sport hunting is ok and actually necessary to keep game from over populating to much. We no longer need to hunt for food (at leas most folks don't although I have known a few who do). But THOSE folks are not the ones you have to worry about. It's the idiots that don't know the difference between a domstic animal and a deer!

I usually kill one deer a year, unless I happen across a big buck. Most of the time, it's a yearling doe for the freezer. We have so many around here that they need thinned out badly. Same with turkeys, there are so many around that it isn't healthy for them.

We enjoy it as well. We've got up feeders for the birds and squirrels. AND there is a stray cat that is about to loose all 9 lives! He has learned that the birds congregate around our place and are easy pickins.

But, I'm glad that I can live on wild meat if it came to it. Many couldn't.

Yeah, a lot of those PETA wackos don't realize that IF hunters don't thin out the game some many of them will suffer a long lingering starvation death. Maybe we should starve them for a bout 2-3 weeks just so they will know what it feels like to die (without actually doing it of course) and not be able to do anything about it.
