more seriously, we're obviously not gonna have tons of flame wars here since we're all here for the scrappers. there are many forums on bf i never or rarely see. within the manufacturer forums you don't get too many flame wars. in the general forums, the ones where people with different tastes may cross paths, yeah, you'll get tons of it. a shared ideal lets people look past their differences. dan and patti have a company based on something and it's manifested in man's primal tool. it's so easy to get into physically and metaphysically. everyone here appreciates scrap yard's value and performance, function over form.

now lets go troll the badlands forum.

I love BF, but I really only skim through some sections (and avoid some like the plague due to their stupidity- like Political). The Idiots go on the ignore list- simple. It is my favorite forum. The sheer number of members guarantees a fine assortment of fruits. I like it because it has the most freedom of any knife forum. Opinions can be freely expressed. I was hoping that Scrap Yard would get their own subforum at BF like Busse and Swamp Rat, because I spend most of my time there.

I've always noticed that you've got good stuff to say over at BF - guys like you and Guyon and Morimotom - There's definately good stuff and good people at BF, but you don't have to wade through all of hte [email]cr@p[/email] here like you do there sometimes! The Yard doesn't have any "bad apples" or trolls - something that I really like about this place!

Just tonight, I was reading a thread where some guy seemingly asked an honest question. It ia followed by countless smart a$$ replies and he ends up being called a troll. I was going to respond but figured the guy probably bailed after the harsh treatment.

BTW: It was not from the Rats or Hogs.
