David (Raisin-cain) and myself talked to Dan about it, David was very blunt about what he thought for the handles, so we will see

I'm still on the fence...but only because it's so long distance and hard to make a decision without more definitive context. This is one of the situations where I really like the busse-kin model (especially lately, with the extended offerings), because it allows the fence-sitters to get "hands-on" reviews from real world customers before they commit to the expense. Dan, et al, have it figured out.

he had been saying they had been working around the clock on the scrap sword, but, who knows, at first, I HATED the handle, on sunday I checked them out again, and felt all of the ones they had out a bit more and a couple of them had less I guess pointy handles, some of the were a little like this <> on the sides of the wrap, where your palm sits, the others were a little flatter and rather nice Were they soliciting feedback? What do you mean "pointy"...more like "rough / pokey" on your hands? Thanks for the feedback man...first I've seen! Kinda like, the wrap on the sides where your palm comes into contact with the handle, the part that you can see the colored under wrap, the over wrap kinda comes to almost a point as <O> as if the metal is the O and the <> is the wrap

Wonder if I can make Scrapper tonight?
I know Col. Klink is prowling...but he hasn't engaged in the DC yet.

if they make it feel a little more like a traditional katana handle wrap, it will be an amazing sword

It's the way the wrap "twists" in the x-y axis, and how it sits on the palm / fingers. Was it relatively hard? Soft? Sticky? I know you couldn't "chop"...but does the base feel like it may absorb shock? How did you like the guards?

the guards add a bit of flair to a basically simple design, I like them, the handle material is hard, but I think it will absorb some shock, not like Res-c, but better than micarta, I can't wait for the video
