I am in a delima on a couple gun things. I have a SOCOM 16 that I like but will end up dropping serious money in if I keep it. Now mind you I have the standard M1A too. I have been thinking that I might do some feelers to see what is available. Then I have a friend that is wanting my Glock 17, not sure if I am ready to let loose of that one, then I have my Glock 23 that is a great weapon but I do need something smaller to carry. I hate the decision that come along with the ownership of firearms. With a knife I can about justify anything to a point--know what I mean? Tough choice, I don't know what I would do

Sup men, dogs, and fellow lovers of steel. Hello, and good evening. I'm getting ready for a big trip to Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico. I'm hoping for success with a prairie dog project, a mountain goat project, and a geology project. And you? Wishing I was accompanying you on the trip. That sounds great. Of course, the p-dogs would be running and hiding when they got word I was coming <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> You probably wouldn't like the realities of traveling with a nature photographer. I hope you get to go on a great trip, soon.

Has anyone ever lost a cell phone due to stupidity? Then to top it off that is the main line of coms so you are really lost? Well I did, still yet to pick a new one but as I have been driving around the last few days I forgot how nice it is without calls coming in or going out. What did we do before we had the convience of cell phones==changed our own tire, called on land line, set up dates/meetings before had, etc. Reality check and flash back.......just interesting to say the least.

Get rid of the SOCOM then, or be prepared to spend the money on it However for me it almost takes an act of congress to make me sell a firearm

I can truly say this, we have had more rain here this year than I can ever remember. The 4th weekend was petty much drenched out, and it has been raining everyday in the evenings, ground can not hold anymore water, and a few have died due to the floods--so far a 8 yr old and 13 yr old boy in different parts of the state. I really hate it for their families.

I have a dilemma, with my gf's name.
Just like the way that I go by the name "Mike", she has a nickname which is the normal name she's used to being called, all the time.
She's from another country, and English is not her native language, so she doesn't really experience the associations that Americans have with her nickname.
Her full name is pronounced "Hossanna", and the nickname she goes by shortens "Hossanna" to just the first syllable.
I just can't bring myself to call her that. As we're starting to get more involved, I really need to come up with another nickname to call her.

Yote, the thing is if I keep the SOCOM 16 I will end up getting a stock, optic, and a few other things to bring it up to where I want it. Now, if someone offered an AK, FAL Para, good hunting rigs I would be all over that. Guns come and go with me except a small group that will be with me for a long, long, long time.

hEY jEFF. I had heard you all got more rain again the other day. Man, water CAN be a pain! Now here, we are in serious need of rain, a good slow soaking rain for at least 24 hours, maybe 3-4 inches in that time period, wait a bout 2 3 days and repeat.

I am the 24-hour emergency contact for work (first of three on a list) and carry a cellphone. About 3 years ago while on vacation camping, the only cell service was in the middle of the lake. Every morning and evening I would row out to the middle of the lake and check my messages. On the third or fourth day my wife lost it and threaten to throw the cell in the lake
