thanks Sumo. yah its a POST stands for Peace Officer Standards and Training. pretty much decides if i can get into the academy or not.

The POST test here is pretty specific and the academies are geared towards passing post. You fail it and you lose your job.

it use to be after the academy over here to, but theres to many dumb people that want to be cops in CA so they make you take the POST first. i dont know but it seems like CA is the hardest state to become a police officer.

I think everyone feels their place is the hardest. its all pretty similar process for most larger agencoes throughout the U.S. Post for California and here are close meaning the academies are accepted either place but you have to test out on certain things and "challenge POST".

We rarely have anyone fail. we have had 100% PASS for everyone for the last 10 years. I can only remember one failure and they were just a rock. Our backgrounds and testing usually weed those out. It takes to long and cost way to much money to have someone on the payroll for 5 months and then get canned.
