Well it WILL go through a car door/hood and BUMPER! Guy (can't rember who) actually cut a bumper off a car and finally broke it on the bumper mounting bracket. Dan wanted him to send it back so they could study it. Oh and was the Test Team edition, not the production ones that SHOULD be stronger due to not being flat ground.

I have put one of the new bayonets through a Vietnam era flak, and I am willing to bet I can put this one through a new flak. But, I can't afford to replace the flak nor do I want to have to explain to my commander why the is a gapping hole in it.

Hehe IF you were at Ft. Bragg, you could always just go down town and buy a new vest that some grunt pawned off. You would not believe how many ISSUE and controlled pieces of gear I saw downtown when I was stationed at Pope AFB next to Bragg.

Yeah, I turned down his generous offer. It is a nice knife, but I really want a coated blade. The non-LE Yard Keepers aren't as thick though. He directed me to find a tan one, which is the same thickness as the LE version. I found one fr sale on bladeforum for $150

Yeah, but my vest is an MTV. These things are highly controlled. Finding one out on the market would prove to be difficult.

Only the Marine Corps issues MYVs so it would have to be by a Jarhead base.
