I talked with the guys at the Porsche garage down the street from my house too. They will do some machining for me for a few Euros.

Nah. I don't plan on doing any modification of the reg except for removing the handle. I will not cut the tang/blade or any part of the SR101 steel.

Never really worked with steel, just beat a couple mild steel rods into a semi sharpened punch. My Dad built a simple forge that used coal and we messed around with it for a couple weeks until he sold it. Oh HE made a couple items for the old anvil he had. Forged them down so they would fit in the hardy hole.

I need to figure out a way to hold the guard/muzzle ring in place. I could have the handle I'' be putting on it squeeze it to the blade, but there has to be another way without welding or drilling into the steel.

I am going to use the M7 parts to mod the Regulator, but I trying to do it without moding the steel in the regulator.
