Evening Todd. I saw where you were tearing the panfish up. Friday my brother and I are taking our dad to a place we found that has some serious bream and decent bass/cats. This area we are going is pretty easy access from the truck to the water. Figure we will set up a tent to block the sun and see what happens. Worse day fishing is better than the best working.

My dad is supposed to be looking for a flyrod that was made by my great grandfather from what I was told. It will be neat to see it. I am taking my old Browning flyrod and some poppers to see what happens. Never know. I know I will have a couple blades with me too. Looking forward to it.

I love flyfishing, but the trout streams here are so tight you just kinda flip the flies out, no real casting to it. I love being in the boat and casting poppers for bass and bream though. That's fun.

No trout here except way down in the SE part of the state and they are stocked in. I would love to flyfish on a real river some day.

Went to my dads house tonight to fix a Ruger Single Six from the 1960's. It is the old screw model. In cleaning it he let the hammer down hence locking it up. After about 5 minutes of bs'ing him I pushed the pawl in and half-cocked it. I should have tried to low-ball him for the fun of it first LOL. But he is m pops!

Never messed with the old 3 screw models, all mine had the transfer bar system. I've had a couple Rugers, loved them but eventually let them go for something bigger or better
