The weather here today (thursday) sucked! 95 degrees and the humidity was so high I don't think they could measure it!

This particular one started out as one of ours and got switched to the other channels because of the same thing. As soon as I heard the voice I cringed because I knew what was coming. No choice but to suffer through for the next 6 months and hope we get a few good ones. The sad part is 4 of the ones that just left were some of my favorites. Amazing what all they could hear, type and direct accurately.

I'm bad to forget to eat at all, then all of a sudden I'm starving or sick from not eating. I got up this morning about 11, and didn't eat a bite till about 9 tonight. Just didn't think about it.

Some of them went to a lower stress agency where one of our old dispatchers is the head honcho and a few others got offered more money and supervisor positions with the state 911 authority.

Hopefully you'll get some more good ones. It's hard to find a good dispatcher, we have 8 full time dispatchers here and only about 4 are worth having. The other four are just riding along on the seniority train.
