Those are nice paintings, but I can see why they took them down. I think there are a lot of kids that look at this site so I understand the "G" rating they want to maintain. Don't be offended or upset PLEASE.

Is the Louvre an inappropriate place to bring a child? Should a parent cover their child's eyes when David is in the line of sight?

Good plan, no need to take a chance in messing it up. You will need several measurements to make sure everything "lines up".
