A little spray of WD40 works great.
The thing about stripping is it is much easier to do on a fresh knife. Once you use it and the coating flattens out the stripper doesn't work as well, then you have to rely more on sanding.

I didn't know that about the stripper. Makes sense though. I didn't notice the choil till you mentioned it.
You find it fits your use better now?

The flat choil always gave me the heeby jeebys when using it. Thought my finger may slip (never did). I really like it rounded and the one Dan put on the production model is great! But I am a sucker for the Flat grind!

That's right! TT edition! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" />I am VERY happy with the choil on the production model.
Makes choking up easy. I think it's a pretty good "do all" blade.

I love love love love love the TT Reg but I haven't had a chance to fully test the production Reg. Hopefully next month I will wear the coating off one.

I've used my Reg at home and on one fishing trip and I love it. I think it is a very good chopper and a perfect batoning knife.
I don't think those are the intended uses for it but it serves me fine. Add a mutlti tool to the pouch and you have a great camping set up.
All of this is based on MHO.
