I just need to force myself to spend more time in the woods. I grew up there....but it seems hard to "get" back there. These days, I spend more time planning to be outdoors than I do spending time outdoors. The problem is not motivation...but more centered around prioritizing the wrong things (ie: work).

Anyone around tonight? Been a long bit since I have been by to see what is going on. Been out and about quite a bit, heading off to a coaches conference mon-wed, then AR on thurs or early=early friday morning.

Either that is good or that is bad.
Remember me talking about me and my brother taking our parents fishing? We did and they had a blast. I ended up running off and leaving the fly rod. Oh well, next time. My dad gave me a fly rod that my great-grandfather made. It is babmo and wrapped really tight, two tips--one for bass/ etc and one for catfish. He asked me if I was going to take it but if I broke it I would be sick. This rod was made back in the '20s and he was very notable in his part of the country for his rods. I am on the hunt for a reel from that era to put on it, hopefully one day I can have a place to hang it above the door or a wall.

I have been at the lake for the past three days, but only fished hard on sat. I caught about 12 cats, 15+ sandbass, a 7 lb drum and a heavy 4ish lb black bass. Had a blast.

Just got back from camping. Had a blast. Managed to get in some trout fishing on an alpine lake.
