It just gets hot as Hades here, Andy. I had one that I picked up in Savannah a few years ago. It makes a real difference in how long I can stay outside in the sun working. The mesh sides makes it cooler than my other hats. Out West, I guess the men still wear hats, but around here people don't seem to have enough sense to.

I am sorry! After all of that yesterday I logged off as I had to get ready for a trade show today. I am back for a couple of hours and then there again tomorrow.

Ok, That is my original hat from the 200 expedition. Everyone else had eith something similar, boonie and two even had straw hats. In 2002 I wore my black hat that I took to Egypt in 1996. In 2004 I wore my waxed cotten hat which is posted in the knives and gear thread. Every expedition that hat and knives change. My boss actually wore the same hat I did back in 2004 but carried the big RTAK knife.... Boy was his wife pissed about the knife. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
