The hologram can be set to appear in the exact point in space where the trajectory of the round crosses your line of sight with the target. Most sights are only two dimensional, they define up and down, left and right. They are missing that third dimension.

Listen to my horn toot. I can keep a 15 inch 10 round group at 500 yards with iron sights. All in the black for a perfect score at that range.
