I know one time while I was still a bomb loader in the AF (knees got messed up and medically crosstrained) we dropped 3 500 pounders from about 3 feet. EVERYBODY took off running. WHY? Couldn't run far enough fast enough. We just scratched our heads, put them back up, got them to show safe load (again) and this time they stayed. I imagine dropped bombs happens more than you realize. Tough on the toes! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Toes are ALWAYS kept out of the way (don't think steel toed boots would help with 1500 pounds of bombs falling on them).
