I love titanium too. I have titanium knives and my everyday watch is titanium. I dig it.
My implants don't bother me since my arm healed up. It's a pretty recent injury. SOmetimes the speech processor for my bionic ear makes weird noises, but there is a firmware update coming out this summer to fix it.

Don't know what Limbaugh has. There are "coils" running into my cochlea (the thing in the inner ear that looks like a snail)and out to a small receiver just under the skin behind my ear. Then I have the mic, processor and tranmitter unit that sticks to the other side of the skin (with magnets)and sends radio signals to the receiver.

Yeah, that sounds like what he got done. If the bulk of it is outside your head it must be fairly small. I mean about the size of the older ones that had the unit itself outside the ear and just had a tube running into the ear cannal.

got a titanium screw holding my hand together. cracked my scaphoid bone in half during the 1st preseason game my senoir year in high school. played the whole year, and wrestled that year too, trainers said i had tendonitis in it, no one told me it was broken, hurt like hell.
six years later was playing sandlot football and hand swelled up. went to the doctor's and they said yep it's broke, and looked like it was a old brake.
had a bone graph from my hip placed in between the brake and screwed together. two pins too. was in a cast for 5 months. finally had the cast off and pins removed, the xrayed it and said yep still broken.
still bothers me a little and i can tell the weathers changing with it, but it works. can't bend my hand back at all and only bend it foward half way.
"hey man, there's a beverage involved!"

worst part was trying to get my hip to heal from the graph. ever sneeze with 9 staples in your side?
loved the medtech they used too. staple remover was a staple remover just upsized. the metal pin remover was i kid you not a pair of needle nose pliers in a sealed plastic bag with pin remover typed on the bag.
they don't even give you anything when the remove the pins. the guy said this may feel funny when he grabbed the pin with the pliers and yanked.
