We took over the jail that was formerly run by a co-op, mainly because of lack of order and just dangerous conditions over there, so all the officers there were placed on leave and our officers are working their days off in the jail until further notice. Lots of long days and plentiful overtime.

Paid OT is a good thing. We haven't gotten paid OT in years. Just comp time we rarely get to take. I just took a look at my books and I have 100 hours that I have to take. I just don't know when I will be able to.

Since I'm not sworn, I can't get in on this, I would love some OT, even if it were comp time. We just don't get any unless we have training, and that's only 16 hours/yr.
