It can rain all it wants through the weekend, but I hope it's dry next week. I'm taking my wife camping next week for a couple days.

we reserved a lakeside spot at Price Lake on the Blue Ridge Parkway. I haven't been camping in a couple years, and never with the wife.

What camping I've done this year has been sleeping in the truck when I've been out fishing, but that's not setting up camp and camping

Sadly for me, the last time we went camping was in Alaska in 1990! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" /> We slept in her uncle's pickup truck with a fiberglass top and mattress in the back, and her uncle slept on the seat. We had a great time, but she just KNEW we were going to be attacked by bears! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> We never saw one, though we DID see a moose. We had a great time, and it was the only time in my life that I got tired of catching fish! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />
Now that we are in rural Missouri I don't miss camping quite as much, as I have 165 acres to run around on and a pond to fish. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

we went catfishing last night, I sat beside a lantern for 3 hours with no shirt on and didn't get bitten a single time. Sue got eaten alive by the skeeters LOL
