I'm looking for suggestions for a good BUIS for my LAR-8.

I want a KISS AR-10 platform gun.

It's the rifle length one with standard hand-guards. IT takes FAL mags which is a plus.

I forgot mention that it's the flat top version.

Does it have a front sight already or does it have the rail block? I would suggest the Magpul MOE sights as a buddy has that on his 308 AR.

It has no sites on it at present time. it does have the rail block though.

I actually might sell this soon. I need to free up some $$$.

But, if I keep it, I will make it into a KISS AR-10 type set-up.

Thanks for the input Sumo.

ahh, my hours and days and weeks and months of researching just this sort of thing has finally come to a head!

here's a few links to get you started heading in the right direction. The Expensive stuff first:

Patriot Ordnance Factory, High end ARs and parts

Troy Industries: Excellent repuatation for quality solid equipment.

Brownells: If they don't have the part you're looking for on an AR, then you probably don't need it.

GG&G: haven't used them per...d things about thier aftermarket sights.

alot of the custom manufacturers, and even DPMS, will carry different options for sighting equipment as well.

Less expensive options next:

one of the many cheaper options

and the cheapest option I know of, but you may want to check a couple vendors for pricing, might get lucky and shave a few bucks. Magpul MBUS polymer sight system

np. There's also plenty of reviews online as well as regular joes who have used the stuff, but beware the chat room lawyers, they're everywhere. Take what you hear with a grain of salt.
