This morning (early, too early) I heard something like a donkey bray out of my window...what the hell!!! a brief look, and this was the explanations ![[Linked Image from img28.imageshack.us]](http://img28.imageshack.us/img28/9576/dscf0001fs.jpg) ![[Linked Image from img532.imageshack.us]](http://img532.imageshack.us/img532/3319/dscf0002lvd.jpg) this fellow was calling for his wife...sad story: according to the peacock owner, her passed out few days ago, and his can't find peace, trying to find out her more and more :-( Ciao, Alfredo

We used to have peacocks at this old ranch. They were sure pretty but dang they made so much noise.

I had a neighbor that had peacocks. Very beautiful and very verbal. Sad that he lost his mate. Thanks for the pics Alfredo

Very beautiful animal. Sad story about his mate though. Nothing beautiful lasts forever right?

Alfredo: Nice pictures. They are beautiful animals, and YES NOISY!! I am guessing from what you said they mate for life, is this correct?

Yes SH: the peacock lost his "wife" few days ago. According to the owner, since that time, this peacock can't rest, is really aggressive, and it's the second time that his escaping and searching around (1-2 miles) for her. According to the owner, is never had this behaviour before.

apparently peacocks are the ultimate sentries.........they alert quickly when there is intruders on the property

apparently peacocks are the ultimate sentries.........they alert quickly when there is intruders on the property I've heard that also, they make great watchers.
