We all like sharp objects, and I'm sure everyone has found out more than once the hard way that sharp objects like to cut soft fingers/hand/toes (what, you've NEVER dropped a knife?)
I think we need to give some recognition to some of those little (or big) scars that we have left from our never ending saga or learning how to handle a knife. Post away!
Let us know how it happened (be honest. We've all been an idiots at one point or another!), how many stitches, and post a good pic of the scar.

You've got me searching my body for memories. Most of the "sharp" cuts healed over too nicely....all of the scars with memories tend to be from "blunt" objects, strangely enough. I'll keep searching...my memory is failing me.

I've got a fresh(at the time) thumb pic but probably not fit for the forum.

More than a few but healed over since then. Go play with a bali, that is a good way to get a few scars.

Before it became a scar: The side of my left middle finger. Cut it with a Spyderco Manix 2, only serious knife bite I ever got It never really hurt at all, despite being a pretty nasty bite, I guess all those hours sharpening the knife paid off I was much worse off later that night when I got food poisoning and spent the next 4 days between the bed and the bathroom

Where to start, lol! Do table saws count? Or just knives? Stopped a saw blade with my thumb while reaching for a piece of molding I just ripped lengthwise. Granted, I just powered it down, but my thumbnail was the only thing that kept it from the bone. Or how about the time I tried to catch a falling blade, first reaction and all, oops! Better yet, I picked a Buck Hartsook and the first batches were notorious for leaving the black finish all over you, your clothes...so I was wiping the knife down with some PB Blaster and a rag when it first arrived. Well, instead of pulling the rag across the knife, I pulled the knife across the rag and straight into my gut about 1/3 of an inch. Good thing that beer gut got in the way! All I can say is I'm glad there's super glue. It goes on...but I figure as much as I handle and play with my knives, the odds are still in my favor.

Ouch, that's a nasty one monster. everything counts Klink. I've got a scar from a wood pallet on the inside of my bicep. Here's a pic: It's pretty new only a month or two old. I was reaching for a windshield at work on the second level (about shoulder high), and caught the bottom of the pallet. at first it just looked like a bad scratch, no blood, nothing, so I ignored it. 20 minutes later, I had bled all over my blue work shirt and ruined it, lol. My Thumb now: The scar runs parallel to my thumbnail, halfway down the digit to the very front and center of my thumb. Not a great pic, but you can make it out. I am living proof why you shouldn't use a Filet knife to cut CHEESE.

when I was 10-ish I was playing with a hatchet, and put a good slice in my thumb starting at the top edge of the thumb-nail and going across the top of my thumb, and made a nice little flap of skin and lots of blood. It was just 4 stitches, but the fun part was we were camping and had to drive a ways to a hospital. But to make the story better as we arrived at the ER there was a drunk loud guy with fresh stitches on his head. He was cursing with words I did not know at the time, and was in handcuffs with a cop on each side. So lucky little me got the same doctor and who just stitched up this guy and he kinda took out his frustration on me. Good times. Good times.

That was the day before memorial day. Yesterday,Me & my roomate went up to the mountains to get out of the city. I had the hook & DeReg out of thier sheaths on the tailgate of my truck & my roommate sat down next to them & put her hand down to get more comfy & just barely bumped the hook & it bit her. That thing is blood thirsty, after getting a taste of my blood it couldn't wait to draw more.
