I sure hope a clarification comes sooner than later. I am one of the guys who has benefited from many comparisons in my time here at the Yard. I do not know many people in Oklahoma who have a lot of Bussekin blades, I have met a few and am turning a few as I go, but with comparisons I can take what others have found and compare it to models that I have used or know where to hold one at. Just my couple pennies worth of chime in.

REM762 - I totally agree with you regarding Vic's comparisons along with others. I hope that Dan will read this and perhaps provide a little clarification, but I know that he is EXTREMELY BUSY getting ready for Blade! Going back over the posts, I suspect that the issue was when the discussion started to move away from the initial comparison post to discussion the other knife. I've had no other direction regarding head to head comparisons so I stick with my long standing approach on it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I have seen many similar posts over the years with no problem, Chris. If Dan now says he doesn't want discussion or pictures of other brands, then I am inclined to play it safe and not discuss or post pictures of other brands.

Well, I pulled out the S5 today and it was noticeably more rusty! Ah! Need to fix! Well, "fix" it, I did. This is temporary until I get back home from school and can use the mouse pad and sandpaper. All I did was use some sand paper on a stack of junk mail. Ah hah! The junk mail was good for something! Afterward, I took it to a buffing wheel on my drill with some white compound (that's the only compound I have out here). There's still a little black on the edge, but it looks a lot better and I put some oil on it to prevent further corrosion. Much more usable than when it had rust covering most of the edge! Well, I guess my lesson learned is that SR101 is a little more "rust friendly" than SR77.
