Dan, thanks for the clarification. Rebel Yell, that can do it for sure!
Men you can't trust, women you can't trust, beasts you can't trust, but Bussekin steel you can trust

Wow!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> I just re-read this thread and can see where I might have been a little too deep into my bourbon when I posted my rabid and terse response. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/footinmouth.gif" alt="" />
I apologize to the OP for violating my own rule #7. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" />
I obviously hijacked this thread while drinking and not thinking. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" />
Comparisons are fine and I should have stayed on the porch where old dogs are meant to stay. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif" alt="" />
No excuses for my behavior, just a temporary flare up of Rebel Yell induced distemper!!!
Again, I apologize and will be sure to limit my posting while drinking, aka PUI!
To all involved, be sure to stop by the Scrap Yard booth at BLADE and I will buy you a drink! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
Dan Whew, that's good news. I was just trying to imagine how to do a comparison without pics or discussion and I couldn't figure it out. I'm wishing I was up in Atlanta to get that drink! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

I agree with all the previous posts about Dan's reply.
Thanks, Dan!
I understand and am fine with keeping the focus on Scrap Yard (and Busse kin) knives. It's nice to talk about how different knives compare with them, though. Being in the middle of a city and in college, it can be difficult to get out and do things like chop-offs, so I like to be able to discuss how other knives compare simply in the hand. I mentioned before, though, for a 5 inch all around go to blade, the S5 is spot on, in my opinion. It's right up there with my Ratmandu (though I still have yet to beat up the 'mandu). Thanks for the great knives and a great place to discuss them!
