I think it may have to do with a res-c handle with a hidden tang and only one tube fastener being able to withstand the amount of stress a blade of that size and weight would cause on the handle Makes sense to me.

I want to like this sword so bad, but the guards are getting to me. Seems out of place, debating how to grind it off best, haha. Don't be a guard hater until you see these. We have rounded all of the corners and the security they offer is remarkable. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> Here's another pic that shows the guards a bit closer.. I want one with Blaze orange and a black wrap with RED blade, one with a Aquamarine handle and Yellow wrap with a Satin finish blade, and one with Tan, Tan, and Tan... hehehe.
Is that asking too much? probably. I still want one though
