does anyone find this to be an issue with the blade coatings?
just ordered some lee valley belts and i wanna make sure it wont degrade the belts quickly, otherwise i can just strip a quarter inch or so of coating behind the edge...

i use duct tape about a 1/8 inch up from the edge................
