Cody really stresses the importance of NOT getting injured.

I finally caught the show. Talk about the odd couple, a hippie and a soldier. Both of them seem to know their stuff, though. At least they're not stupidly running everywhere they go like Bear does. A cripling injury way down in the bush can mean death. Sometimes I think Bear Grylls is under the impression that EVERYONE is an ex SAS soldier, lol.

This has now become my favorite program. I think that the above comments about the show and also Bear are "spot on"! The latter is always running off somewhere and eats at least 1 really gross thing per show...you can count on it. Has anyone figured out which blade Cody and his partner carry?

I like the show. Everyone is always picking on Cody for not wearing shoes (he has been doing it for 20 years) and how he is putting himself at risk. No one mentions Dave going exploring at night, drinking water from an unknown source, or attacking an alligator in a swamp. All things that could be avoided and unnecessary! Right on, brother

Has anyone figured out which blade Cody and his partner carry? I was wondering that myself.

You can find all the episodes to date on Youtube. Do a search for "dual survival part", and sort by upload date.
As far as knife Cody looks like he's just using a subspecies of Mora. Low cash outlay, not flashy, but it'll do the job. Very much in keeping with his general outlook. No idea what Dave's got.
Something youtube suggested to me was "Man Woman Wild". Another survival type show apparently also airing on Discovery. Just how many of these do we need?
edit "Cody carries a Mora "
^ Heh. That's what I get for lazing around instead of replying the thread right after I looked it over. Post-sniped!

Great show. Watching it right now as a matter of fact - chowing down on some tasty iguana tail. The show become one personalities and style is excellent. I've been a fan of Dave on YouTube for a long time. Picked up a lot of great tips from him, like his sling bows, which are way cool. Glad to see him on a quality show like this. Cody is awesome too! Only problem is when I get hooked into watching it until 1:00 am and then have to get up for work at 6:00...like I'm doing now. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

No kidding -- Dave deserved to get stung! RISK vs REWARD I'm hoping the honey deal was scripted, because it seriously lowered my opinion of Dave's survival mindset.
