its not about aesthetic looks or having to inflate my own self worth, my 3 previous pc's didnt work out for me so i tried out a mac and it has worked perfect for me for over 6 years without one crash. thats all there is to it. to me thats worth the extra cost of a mac and i would gladly pay that extra again in a heart beat.

if a pc is for you and they work for you, thats awesome. honestly if my pc's would have worked for me i would have never gone to mac.

That's fine, I have no problem with Macs. I did not mean to imply you personally in my earlier comments, however it is what I have observed in the majority of Mac users I have encountered. I personally can't use Apple products but I know plenty of people who love theirs, however the majority of them are under the impression that owning one somehow makes them better than us PC owning plebes. I'd use OSX on a PC myself if I could as it's not a bad OS, just prohibitively expensive. The only problem for me is Apple products won't work for me. I used to have a friend who had used Apples his entire life and I'd use his Mac when I was over at his house, well try to anyway. One day while trying to check my email in a period of 15 min it froze on me about 7 times, rebooted itself twice and made that carcrash noise and turned itself off 3 times. He could even tell when I came over because more often than not as soon as I walked in the door his Mac would crash. About 6 or 7 years later I tried to give Mac a try again. I bought one used off of ebay. About 3 weeks later UPS still showed it in transit from Kali. SO I call UPS to ask them WTF?
My package never arrived from Kali.
The UPS truck never arrived.
The truck went off the road.
The truck rolled over.
The truck caught on fire and burned down.
The universe makes it clear to me that I cannot use Apple products.
I don't mind the OS that much even if you can't right click or eject a disc with just the push of a button. What I don't like are the $80 they charge for a $20 stick of memory, or the $200 they charge for a $60 HD, or the $400 they charge for an $80 motherboard. Their business model is that of a Monopoly and why I predict Android phones taking over the iFones market share in the next few years. The best thing they ever did was drop IBM chips and switch to Intel. That alone opens up a whole new market segment that would gladly use their OS but prefer not to spend $5K on a $1500 piece of hardware to use it. The wide variety of hardware available to PC's does cause problems and conflicts, however it is also the reason for their majority market share.

OG is great for salads and pricing is great !!For a chain type resturaunt it is tough to beat for sure. As for the Mac computers. I just put a new 27 inch LED desktop in for my wife and I am IMPRESSED . Now-I am looking at their laptops-IPads and the latest IPhone. They are pricey for sure- but I must admit that after everybody telling me about them- they are IMPRESSIVE for sure . I am not too sure that I want the TSA 10 buck an hour guys tossing my 2 K PLUS laptop around - so might just keep using a Dell when I fly and keep the Mac Book for US travel in vehicle/ motels. Looks to me like Mac is kinda like the Busse of computers .Just my opinion-Thanks

Olive Garden is really good.

Their soup and salad is a meal in itself.

I don't mind the OS that much even if you can't right click or eject a disc with just the push of a button.

You obviously have not looked at Macs in a long time, like 10 years based on your description of the problems you had with your friend's Mac. They have had the ability to Rt-Click since OS X came out. They also have an eject button on the keyboard to eject discs. BTW - Legally, you cannot run OS X on anything but a Mac. Ask Prystar about that.

Most people don't use there computers to do much more than surf the web, email, and write documents. Both platforms do that equally well, but most people, after a few weeks, find the Mac OS friendlier than Windows. It all depends on your personal background and skill level.

Windows machines are more popular because Microsoft sold the OS to everyone and their mother and has been dealing with the issues that came with that. There have been many studies done that show Macs are more expensive in the beginning, but save money over time in less IT maintenance.

I'm biased, but then so are you. We both prefer one OS over the other for our own reasons and that is good.

BTW- I absolutely LOVE the Chicken con Broccoli at Olive Gardens. Yummm!

Oh yeah, and that is the same exact reason Mac is so popular in the design and art fields. Apple sold their products to colleges and design schools back in the 80's and 90's. As times progressed they had only one option for upgrades due to Apples Monopoly business model. As it would have cost too much to replace everything and switch to PC's they have been forced to stick with Apple. Over time the perception has become that Mac's are the superior option when the reality is more that the vast majority of the design world be it web, engineering or fashion has only ever learned on Mac's so that's all they know how to use. As a result of this there may be an advantage in the programs that are designed for these fields tending to be geared towards Mac's simply because that's all the majority of people know how to use.
I do know Mac's have right click functionality, I just like to poke a bit of fun there. I did not know they had added an eject button to the keyboard though. Now all they have to do is put one where it belongs ON THE EFFING DRIVE! Cause heaven forbid someone should be able to get a disc or something without having to boot up the computer or hunt down a paperclip to unbend to get a disc out, cause that just wouldn't make any sense.
I hold no grudge against Mac, and would use Apple products were it possible, however I am not ever going to pay the ridiculous prices they ask for their gear when I can get more capable fully functioning products for a fraction of the price (iFone jab there lemme know when they get them out of beta)
