Where has Chris been?

That sounds like fun, yote. People spend alot of money on deer hunting around here. We had our own property when I was a kid so it didn't cost us much. I can't see spending several thousand dollars on a couple of deer like the people around here do. My youngest brother is a die hard hunter. He works like a madman all year so that he can take the fall off to hunt. He just came back from a jetboat hunt in northern bc, the cost for being boated in and back out was $2600. Yes he is single

Yeah, gear is expensive. It helps when you have enough gear from a lifetime of hunting. I have a 300 H&H mag that's about 50 years old that I hunt with. It has a fold over scope so you can use the iron sights. I don't feel like I need anything else. A little overkill for whitetail.

That was just for the boat ride, he still had to have all his own gear and drive 20+ hours there and back. Where we deer hunt is about 3 hours away. We are lucky here in BC in that most of the land is public land
