Thanks Yote...I'm sure she'll be fine but it never hurts.

I've got 2 daughters myself, and would be worried if they were going in for any surgery.

I'll let y'all know as soon as I find out something. She's scared to death, just a big bundle of nerves. I've been under the knife enough times it doesn't bother me, but that's not me laying there either.

I know how you feel, I had 21 surgeries by the time I was 8, so for me I don't feel like it is a big deal.
However I am over-protective of my daughters and it would drive me nuts

The hardest thing I've had to do is back off and let her go some. She's independant like I was, and I've tried to save her some pain, but she insists on learning things the hard way

But when she needs me, I'm ALWAYS there!

I have done the same, my daughters are 21 and 20, both living at home.
We let them be their own people, but my wife has to reign me in at times.
I never had sisters, and my wife says that is part of my problem

LOL, I am too protective of both of mine, guess that's one problem that we have. Not that I don't trust them, but I don't want them to get hurt. Neither of them get that, and the hardest thing I do is let go.

Their mom, who I divorced 10 years ago, says that I've always been overly protective of them. But they've lived with me since the split, and I've done ok with them, at least I think so.

Funny I was watching tv with my wife earlier and that commercial Subaru commercial came on.
The one where the father is talking to his daughter that is in the driver's seat.
As he is talking she looks about 4, but when she answers him you can see she is 16.
When it came on my wife laughed and said that was me

I trust my daughters, but I have no illusions about the outside world

I like that commercial too, reminds me of...me. And I'm like you too, no matter how much I trust my kids, I don't trust many others
