I think that I DO like the handle design, and I could live with the blade shape but I have NEVER liked spikes on the end of a handle. All that ever happens is they hurt the user! (maybe I'm a klutz)

If it starts glowing you probably did something wrong.

Yeah My Um has a tip like that on the end of the blade when it's folded. It's more of a screwdriver type edge, not pointed buy narrowed flats. He touts it as a glass breaker and I can see it fulfiling that function.
