I live near a few business campuses. I'm pretty close to Apple, Hewlitt Packard, Google, etc.

Actually, not that busy. Suburban area, surrounded sparsely by business campuses.

I don't do well in busy, crowded areas. I would be somewhere more remote (and more tropical) than here, except I choose to live at the midpoint between my closest friends.

I agree with JJ: The sun in the mirror shot is cool.

We live in town (almost 1300) and on the outskirts. It's almost like not living in a town at all. I have been in some of the world's largest cities and MUCH prefer the rural life. Heck If it was left up to me, we would be living in the rockies somewhere and our closest neighbor would be AT LEAST 5-10 miles away.

There's a reason that all these huge companies are right near me. I know this sounds revolutionary to politicians, these days, but – my area has chosen to be friendly to businesses, while everywhere else tries to be as hostile as possible to business.

They're gonna go where they get the most breaks on taxes, land, water and sewer, electric...

Out in the Rockies, far from anyone, would be nice (though, I'm too wimpy for that kind of cold Winter).

Sorry it's taken me a few minutes to respond back a couple times. I've been in our e-mail program doing the nightly news release and just got it done.

That's absolutely part of it. And you know what? When you bring a few dozen multi-billion-dollar companies into an area, the city can do just fine, despite low rates.

Another part is that the city has the know-how to handle these businesses. For example, if a big company want to put in a major business campus, the city needs to have the know how, to deal with the inspectors for fire, electricity, architecture, etc.

And this area is willing to expedite the process, and get it done in a few weeks, instead of a few years.
