Set up a factory in Death Valley! That should give you some extra working time. I know that is totally insane but it just popped into my mind!

I enjoy making stuff. Plus, it really isn't that hard. I think I turned out a [censored] good sheath, if not pro level, on my first go at it.

I had most of the materials already. I used scrap wood, a scrap piece of rubber flooring I had left over from when I rubberized my gym and C-claps for the press.

The rest was standard tools I already had except for the sheath materials and a die to flare the rivets.

No argument there!

However, I think it isn't any cheaper than buying a sheath from one of the benders unless you plan to make a bunch and buy bulk.

Smart thinking. Or, I could setup a large boiling cauldron and and make it underwater. I don't mind a few blisters.

I had thought about that, but cauldrons that big are hard to find. Plus it would take a lot of wood to keep it hot!

Got to go. Just wanted to showoff a little. My German officer buddy found a place that might have antique German SS helmets for sale. I need one to go with my Nazi gas mask.

Don't know if y'all remember me talking about the little girl that was missing here, they announced yesterday that the bone they recovered last week was hers, and that they recovered parts of her body Wednesday. The bone had saw marks on it......
