I just got my Rangers in today. I'll have to look into that spyderco sharpener.

I've got a Lansky 'turnbox' sharpener that was cheap and is ok for field use. It's 2 medium ceramic sticks in a wooden box base, it's 'bushcrafty' and portable. It'd do recurves but is no match at all for Lansky stone and clamp sharpening, (which of course won't work on recurves..).

Scrappy- you hit on my favourite prayer when ordering a Dan knife 'Oh Lord, please let this one be sharp'.. Sadly three for three so far in the blunt as a banana stakes. BUT buy a Dan recurve anyway they're cool!

My DM was stupid sharp for such a monstrously thick blade. It was no razor, but it was probably a few minutes of polishing away from one.

If I can make it dark, I can make it light. I am Crazy Dog.
